What are some off the beaten path things to do in Paris?

I am traveling with Children, and we will do all the
usual things.... I just want some ideas!

Definitely go on the bateaux mouches!!! It's a fun, refreshing ride along the river, with the air coming in from all sides. Kids will love it.

go see the eiffel tower during the day and THEN at night, starting at sunset, every hour on the hour until midnight, the tower lights up for about 10 minutes, flashing and blinking. its really a sight to see!
