basically anything soft...spaghetti, canned spaghetti o's...

some people don't feel as much pain when they get their braces. my friend was eating cheeseburgers when he got his on...it didn't even affect him!

but advil or other meds will help the pain go away! good luck!

You really can eat anything as long as it's not sticky like caramel or gum. When you first get them and everything is sensitive and painful try breaking things up into small pieces so you can mostly chew them with your tongue. And ziti (without a lot of cheese to chew) is usually a good choice. Pudding is good too. I had braces for five years and to this day I still find myself breaking food into pieces before I eat it. Good luck!

When I got braces years ago, I always got paranoid about food getting stuck in them. So from then on I would break things apart and just put them in my mouth. For example - pizza... I would just cut it up and eat it. Chicken tenders, I'd break them apart and eat them...same with a sandwich.

If you don't like any of these ideas, it might be best to just bring a travel toothbrush with you. Then you'll never have to worry, and your dentist will love you.

Mashed potatoes! I remember being able to eat anything except apples...

Make sure to check your teeth for food after eating.. salads tend to get stuck in the braces...!

Onions.

You can eat almost anything that wouldn't get badly tangled in them, like caramel and gum... popcorn can get wedged in there, apple peels.

Soft stuff is preferred for days right after they braces get "adjusted" (that means tightened up real good)since your teeth will be sensitive to pressure.

YOU CAN EAT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOU WANT AS LONG AS IT WON'T RIP YOUR BRACKETS OFF......POP CORN, CARMEL, GUM, APPLES .... THINGS ALONG THAT LINE. YOU'LL BE FINE.
