no one hated on the pats when they KEPT winning...god forbid someone else win one (or 2 yeah we're gonna get that other one this year too!) seriously...why can't people just admit that the STEELERS played the best football last year and it was their destiny and if you watched the playoff games you saw that. it was especially obvious in the game against the colts...it was meant to be why doesn't everyone stop crying about it???

The reason why so many people hate the Steelers is because there are so many people that love them. They are a great organization with stable ownership and coaches.
They do not follow any trends, fashions,or fads of the NFL
Also, they are about to win more superbowls than any other team in the league. Basically they are a meat and potatoes football team.

Go Steelers Go!!!
People love being the armchair quarterback and if they didn't have anything to complain about they would be bored. There is always the "bad" call or bad play in every sport. I know being an avid Steeler fan I dislike okay I hate the Cowboys but everyone had a team they just can't stand. I'm just glad I live someplace where I don't have to like the same team as everyone else!

Can we speak English, please? It's "hate," not "hate on."

The Steelers played the best football at the right time last year, unlike the year before, when they went 15-1 and bowed out in the conference final.

And a bunch of people hated the Pats before and after they won their 3 Super Bowls, especially when Philadelphia handed them Super Bowl XLIX when Donovan McNabb couldn't figure out what the hurry-up offense is supposed to be.

People like to whine about the officiating but there was only one really bad call and that was on the hassleback interception tackle.

It turns out most people don't really understand the NFL's rules so here is an interview with an NFL official to explain them to people. So that is the answer, the people that started hating the steelers after the super bowl are the ones that don't understand the rules of the game. The ones that hated them before are probably eagles, browns, bengals, ravens, raiders, cowboys, or colts fans.

There is an old saying, "It's lonely at the top." The Steelers won last year's Super Bowl by winning three tough playoff games. Some people are just sore losers but I'm from Pennsylvania originally and I'm glad they won again.

GO STEELERS!!!

We are not crying cause your team was awarded the win, we are crying because they didn't deserve to win. You can not honestly think that your team played well enough to win Super Bowl 40!! If the Seahawks had played the same way your Steelers played, and won you'd be upset too. The MVP's of Super Bowl XXXX weren't wearing the Black and Gold they were wearing Black and White Stripes, you know it and just can't bear to admit it. Get over it... We'll see in Miami !!

It's because they got outplayed in the Super Bowl but still won it due to the horrendous officiating. The NFL lost a lot of credibility after that game due to the blatant one-sided calls against Seattle. The only penalties called against the Stealers the entire game were a couple of offsides calls that had no effect on the score. Nearly every call against Seattle cost them points in the game. It's hard to believe the winner wasn't already determined before the game even started. It's no coincidence that the sports books made more money this year on SB betting than in any other SB in history. I know a lot of Pitt. fans that are not proud of the way their team won SB XL.

As a Patriots fan I have to disagree with your question. All the time the pats were winning all we heard about was how great peyton(it couldn't possibly be my fault)manning. When you are a champion everyone else will always want to knock you down. That is a spot I would rather have my team in though because you have bragging rights until someone takes them away!

i think because nobody wants to admit that the Steelers are the best team in the league and beat the number 1 2 and 3 seeds in the playoffs and they were a 6 seed and barley got in

A lot of people hated on the Patriots, at least a lot of people I know and people complain because theyre upset about the Steelers coming from a 6th seed spot and taking out everyone to win it all.
