First you need to talk with both of them and explain that the pressure they are placing on you is unfair and unjust. Joining a religion is a personal decision and you need to pick the one that is right for you. One that makes you feel closer to GOD and comfortable. You can not chose a religion just because some one Else thinks it is right for you. I am a mother, Catholic, my oldest is Catholic, my 2ND is new christian, and my daughter is Lutheran. I am happy with all their decisions, they are closer to GOD and that's the most important thing after all.

first of all your parents have no right to dictate your religion... that is very personal issue and only you in your heart know how you feel...... if they feel it necessary to disown you for being your own person, then that is their shortcoming and their loss... and so be it....no one, not even your parent, has the right to dictate your life and your beliefs...... they should have been teaching you basic values and morals as you grew up .... choose whatever you can live with and whatever makes you happy and content, whether it is one of theirs or one of your own choosing or none at all.... organized religion was not created by divine intervention, .... men (usually "rebels".... look at luther, et al....) have created them as times, needs and thinking have changed over the centuries ... one splits from a 'mother' religion, they change a few basic tenets and voila! a new religion is born..... it's just another label that we humans use against each other .... more ammunition to promote segregattion, elitism, hatred, blame, and so on...... note how choosing one over another is tearing you own family apart... there is only one god, if you choose to believe that, and how you worship/pray/live is only your concern..... i don't know how old you are, but your parents are extremely SELFISH in placing you in this position..... i suggest you do what you feel is right for YOU just as THEY were able to do...... if they choose to 'disown' you (whatever that means) they are the big losers, not you..... good luck!

Whichever one you feel comfortable with! Your religion should be based on what YOU believe.. try to explain to your parents that you arent a toy to be pulled and shoved but that you love and respect them both. Ask them to put themselves in your position (if u already didnt).

First of all pray to God for enlightenment. Faith and the pratice of religion is a personal accountability. You are only accountable to your creator, and not to your parents.
