Try disabling your internet security package. Sign into MSN messenger then re enable your security.
Re start your computer and this may sort it. What happens generally is that your security package updates itself sometimes when you aren't signed into MSN which creates a conflict as it doesn't necessarily update that you are on MSN. It is an invasive programme especially if you are chatting. swapping files etc etc. Hope it works it did for me

oaktreekennel is right, I put it onto my computer and has no end of problems, my computer kept crashing and files went missing to name just a couple of things. Everyone who I know says the same thing and the trouble is once you get it on you can't uninstall it the only way I could disable it was to put a wrong address into the sign in box.

I wouldn't bother with MSN Messanger, donwload the free paltalk, you can chat and type chat as well as use the web cam.
so easy to use,
messanger is actually the way most hackers get into pc's so many loopholes in it.

why don't you try rebooting. If that doesn't work, can you download another browser such as explorer or netscape?
you may have to call gateway.
