is it because of their training or was it emotional turmoil?

It's both.

In boot camp, we're changed, molded into people with entirely new, mechanical ways of looking at violence and death. We're desensitized to a point only surpassed when we have to see it for real.

It's a reaction. We have all of this built up, repressed rejection going on in our minds. Rejection to the images, to the sounds, the smells, to even our own actions. It's repulsive to our base, human instincts and goes against everything we're taught up til boot camp. It's an internal conflict that is usually let out on whoever happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Not all marines have anger issues.

However, where the army, navy, and air force often appeal to those who want to get some job training and direction in their life, the marines typically appeals to those who really want to go to war. I imagine this would mean that a larger percentage of marines would have a warrior's attitude compared to the other military branches.

One of my friends was a marine. He died earlier this year. After he came back he was a differnt person. He drank alot and he had a lot of anger issues. He told us many stories of what happened to him while he was there and we completely understood why he wanted to drink it all away. He went through some rought stuff that he would never forget. I still believe to this day that being in the marines is what ended his life. He wasnt on active duty when he died but after the marines was done for him he was a broken person who didnt want to live anymore.

People in our military are essentially contract killers. Hundreds of years ago, one didn't get paid to kill other people. Now, you do, so many marines are simply people who may have otherwise been in some other type of violent gang. As members of the Marines, they are in a legal gang backed by rich governments, bigger weapons, and their dirty anger just shines right on through.

Other marines are prehaps trained to be mean and murderous, but I really believe that most people who are attracted to the marines are already excited by the idea of harming other people-which means they have serious issues to begin with.

It's because of training and what they encounter during their duties in protecting our country. See there are a lot of little wars that go on that we don't know about. The media only reports the high profile one. This is not an excuse but they have a reason.

Think about it, these men are taught to kill people in like fifty different ways. That has to have something to do with the way they interact with people.
