IF I understand your question, you want to know about the Sunday New York Times article that mentioned the government's program to spy on all American's banking practices in order to weed out "terrorists".

This is the link to the original article. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/23/washington/23intel.html

"The program is limited, government officials say, to tracing transactions of people suspected of having ties to Al Qaeda by reviewing records from the nerve center of the global banking industry, a Belgian cooperative that routes about $6 trillion daily between banks, brokerages, stock exchanges and other institutions."

However, there has been an uproar from both sides of the political aisle. Conservatives are screaming, "FOUL!!!" While Dems are screaming "Oh no not again!!"

Conservatives have accused the New York Times of treason, for revealing this information. Dems say that the Times is exercising its FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS. And the battle goes on. Hope this helps.

It's the government's responsibility to control their workers. They spilt the beans, they deal with it. Remember that thing called freedom of press, I'm pretty sure it's the 1st amendment but bush might have changed it (you know, an animal farm reference). What, are the terrorists supposed to think we are gonna just sit here,? Not even they are that retarded.
