When you sign up with http://www.paypal.com it takes a few days before you can buy stuff or recieve money.
You need a valid checking account, call your bank and get your checking accounts "routing number" and your "account number". PayPal will ask you for it when you sign up.
I dont think i had to give them a credit card, I think once they have your checking account they just bill it.
They verify that its really your checking account by putting in a few cents and then asking you how much they put it... if its really your account than you'll know how much they deposited.

(this takes like 2 days)

once your paypal account is setup never ever give your password to anyone.... if you get an email that says its from paypal (its probably fake) login to your website by going to the website http://www.paypal.com... dont click on the link in the (fake) paypal email to login to your account.

buying stuff on ebay is only safe if you buy from people that have a really good rating... look at the number next to their name ... if the number is higher than 50 click on it and read what other people have said about the seller.

the same thing is true for ebay.. never click on links inside of emails that say that they are from ebay... all your messages (for ebay and paypal) will show up when you login to your account. And remember always open your internet and go directly to http://www.paypal.com or http://www.ebay.com when you want to login to your account.

The easiest thing to do is buy stuff where the seller says he will take care of the shipping for you... send the seller a message and ask first (if he later on decides that he wants you to pay instead you can report him to ebay - its rare that a guy with good reviews will promise he will take care of the shipping and then change his mind). Tell the guy you want it send to your house directly (or have him send it to a POBOX if you have one)

Don't give people on ebay your email or phone number... have them send you messages on ebay only.. (so you wont get a phone call)

you don't have to have a credit card to shop on ebay. i depends on the seller, some of them take money orders, personal check, or cashier's checks. just be sure to check before you bid. i am not sure about avon. you can go to avon.com and request an avon dealer to contact you. once you have a local dealer you can pay them by cash or check. with paypal you just register your credit or debit card to your own personal account. it takes you step by step when you win an item so you will be able to follow along. it is safe (in my opinion). i have been on ebay for years and have never had a problem. when you win an ebay auction you pay for the product and shipping and handling. this being said, the product is delivered directly to you. it will either be in your mailbox or ups will deliver it to your door. the only way your parents will know you bought something is if they see it or they pay for your credit card which gives them access to the bill. hope all of this helps!

to send a money order you go to a gas station and ask the cashier for one. they are about 99 cents. you fill it out with the information they request on it. then you mail it to the seller.

To get started on PayPal, you need some sort of credit card number, but a visa check card works just fine for this. You can also get the account verified to take the money straight out of your bank account. The stuff is usually shipped to an address verified by PayPal, so it would be shipped to your door unless you can get them to ship it to a Post Office Box (which is something you have to rent). Usually, though, you get a tracking number to track your package's progress to your doorstep, and can be there to intercept it when it arrives. So if you're careful you can hide it from your parents unless they can read your account statements.

debit works same as credit, paypay requires a debit or credit card, some ebay items you can send check or money oreder, it will say on the ad, avon is credit or debit when ordering online, both come right to your door usually by postal mail, sometimes ups-should be indicated when ordering, your parents wont know unless they open your mail, they might ask whos sending you stuff though if you order something off ebay from someone out of state

You can pay for things on PayPal by having it come directly off your bank account. It takes a while to set it up but I've been using it for a couple of years and never had a problem. You need to be very careful about fraudulent emails where they try and trick you into giving out your personal info. but you can always check with eBay or PayPal if you aren't sure. There may be an age limit but you need to go to eBay and PayPal and read their instructions and rules.

Paypal is like a western union. they wire money to the vendors. You do need either a credit card or a checking account. You'll have to type in the routing # and account #.

Just be weary of what you buy on there. Do your research!!!
