I am separated from marriage now and December will make us legal. I am falling for this guy who has always been my best friend. I am pregnant and I already have a 3 year old and she loves him to death. He said that if the father wasnt going to help with the unborn child and my daughter then he wants to. I am so afraid of another relationship but no matter what he can always make me smile. What should I do?

You should slow down babe. Get some counseling and be content without a man in your life for a few months or years.

Focus on raising those babies. Let them be first in your life. Surround yourself with some good girlfriends and family members.

Take legal steps to make sure that the father(s) of your children are financially responsible for them.

NOTHING! You need to just take it slow and easy..no relationships..NO SEX...and stay friends. He can *help* without getting your heart and emotions all involved. If you guys have been friends for this long..then a few more years of friendship and of him helping you get over your failed marriage is only going to make you guys stronger. If after all that you two are finding you are more drawn to each other, then at least you'll know for sure its becaue your meant to be, and not because he is a crutch to get over the ex...

I know its hard, BUT if you sleep with your best friend and then things dont work out you'll lose that. A best friend and a man that will help with the kids.

Think really hard about what is important to you, is it the relationship or the friendship.

Good Luck

Make sure nothing can be legally damage you but I agree with the rest, take it slow there is no need to rush into anything because everything already seems to be going so well.

Be honest with him and wait in till you know that you are over your ex. You don't want to rush into anything this soon. If you go for it and decide later that it is too soon then it will only confuse all parties involved...including your 3 year old. I would take it easy and play it by ear......Good Luck!!

Well if he's your best friend, then u must really know him... the problem is.. you know him as a frend, not a guy in a relationship with. If you trust him, then go ahead. But if you have doubts or you're juz looking for someone totake care of u and ur family, then i say think think think!

I agree. Give your self and the relationship time to grow. NEVER rush into a relationship because you have kids and need help. That usually ends up in suffering for the you and the kids.

Take it slow, and let him help after the divorce is finalized. Accepting any help from another man before that could be damaging to your side of the divorce case.

i think alot of my decision would be based on why my marriage ended. if it was because of reasons like abuse or whatever than just move on with your life. if there is a chance you could possibly get back with your husband than don't rush anything. if you're afraid of another relationship than obviously it's because you're not ready for one. he sounds like a great guy though.
