I guess you mean you want more speed on the Internet. More speed on your computer resides in RAM and your CPU, not your modem. Get broadband Internet and of course you'll need a modem to support broadband, your dial-up modem won't support it.

Speed in internet depends on ur MODEM's speed. Many softwares r available for speeding the sys up but without a fast modem, things r difficult.
Also, check for ur current modem's speed & capability. If it's more than wat u r getting then change the settings under control panel > modem.

you might need to get a faster modem and / or internet line. connection has the slightest to do with you computer at that point. :)
