It seems that people like Bono or Sting (and even some newer singers) get all of the hoopla for doing charitable things, when the Dave Matthews Band has been giving away money and helping people for over 12 years now.

Dave is known to be a very private musician and keeps his personal life very private from the public eye. His charitable work does not go unnoticed. They used many of the proceeds from their B&J's One Sweet Whirled towards charity. Charitable contributions made by Dave and the band are posted as they happen on their warehouse website, for members only, and on davematthewsband.com. Perhaps the fact that they are a private band is the reason why they don't get as much media on their charitable contributions. Too bad though, they do great things for many causes.

I'm really not sure, because i think DMB is awesome...Dave doesn't even live like a "super star" Even heard today that they will be making their tour buses, etc 100% C02 free (I think that is right? LOL)
Too bad too cuz they rock!
