If you don't believe in religion then masturbation is said to have beneficial effects but I assure you these are ridiculous as people do not prove how they benefit a person compared to one who doesn't masturbate. Frankly the studies have not concluded anything clear. In fact, there are some side effects in terms of mental and psychological issues. Mental and psychological health is extremely important. Masturbation is said to make you feel ashamed and embarrased. Masturbation is a behaviour that is repeated because it is pretty-much addictive habit. Anything addictive is bad for you in my book.
