This is why.
Men are head of the household. Men represent their household.
Personally, I am a good dresser. My wife has a great fashion sense. She has shown me some things, and I respect her opinion.
A man's appearance is a reflection of his girlfriend, fiancee, wife, and the household, or relationship, or marriage itself. If a man looks bad, then it's assumed that the relationship, marriage, or anything under that man looks bad as well. If a man dresses well, then it's said that he has everything in order and takes great care of himself as well as everything around him.
A lot can be told about what a man wears, huh?
I learned a lot from this from experience, and can't go back to T-shirts and jeans.
Also, the same can be said about how a woman dresses. Her appearance is a reflection of him and for what he stands. That's why she asks my opinion when she picks out clothes to buy or wear.

If I'll do that at times and I see him smile I'll know that I'm doing one other thing right. At times he'll ask me what I think about this or that, or even if I like what he's wearing. In my opinion, no matter what he's wearing in my eyes he'll always look very handsome and breath-taking... even if the only thing he's wearing is the nature's outfit :) I love being part of the making-decisions-process, it makes me feel important and like I'm playing a major role in something like this.
I guess it's a motherly instinct that sometimes over-takes a woman who would like to help out the best man in her life by helping to get dressed or get his clothes neatly folded and ready for his next day at work :)

first of all... not all ladies dress their man...
some do because they want to feel they're in control, and safe that there wont be a break up because they're so sensitive. another reason may be that they just want they're guy to look decent , personalized, and most importantly... taken.

becuase you guys DO NOT know how to dress and we like to be seen with the best...if we dont have the best we have TO MAKE IT the best, so we dress you up in whatever we think is the best...and you guys never say anything, you just know that what we say goes and we like that... :D

Because if I let my husband pick out his own clothes he would nothing but a white t-shirt and athletic shorts! :o)
