Good choice... teaching is a wonderful career!

As to where you should go to college, it depends in what subject area you plan to teach students.

First of all decide what grade level and subject you want to teach, the requirements are different by grade level and subject. Then start investigating programs and make sure that the program is accredited and wherever you want to teach will accept the degree. Also make sure that you are ready to invest a bit of time in this, many education programs require you to complete student teaching or an internship. You might be able to bypass this if you start work as a teacher or instructional assistant. I am a current teacher and I was able to work as a teacher's assistant, so I was getting a paycheck, plus having it count as my internship. Most student teaching jobs and internships the ones where you don't get paid, so look into becoming an assistant, plus if you do decide to be an assistant your foot is already in the door with a school system, so will be easier to get a teaching job, when you are done with your studies.

Teaching is a challenging and rewarding career! The college that would be best depends on what you hope to teach! Good Luck!

Don't do it, you will spend the rest of your life trying to teach kids who don't want to learn and getting paid a pittance, how unrewarding is that?

If you don't know that then would you be a good teacher? Searching the answer by yourself will give you more than any answer here I guess.
