I have been doing sit ups and the ab chair for about 2-3 weeks now. I haven't really seen much of an improvement. I'm about 100 lbs and my belly is the only thing I really want to change. Is there anything else I can do? I believe that I do eat right... I mean I don't starve myself..and don't usually crave junk food. About when will I see an improvement?

Thanks for everyone's helps.
To comment on some people's answers: I'm not very young..only 18 and tiny for my age.
I'm not really saying I should lose weight. I just want to tone out my stomach and lose the belly fat there. I guess running is the best answer....I somehow need to get motivated.

Run on machine or street 40 minutes a day with 5-10 miles pace. I bet you will lose 80% of belly fat, then 3 sets (15 per set) of ab chair excises to ton the belly up.

it's not just about sit-ups. You need to do more overall cardio (like running). It will help all over, and you will see a magjor improvement in a month.
Since you said you weight 100, I'm not sure if you are short, or young. If you are a young girl, you may be reaching a time in your life when you need ot develope a little bit of fat in that area so that you can have your monthly cycle.

So many solutions... dude you are very younger. Don't say that "I am a scholar so I do not get time for something". You have at all times. Eat some thing you wish to. Just pass external in night and play a few out of doors video games. Specially Football, Badminton, Cricket and many others and many others. Play up to you'll be able to. Play soccer everyday for an hour or 2 and you can see the alterations.

are you sure you need to lose any belly fat? you're only 100 pounds! but if you insist....you cant get a flat stomach by just doing situps. Sure that tones your muscles, but if there is a layer of fat covering them, your toned stomach will never be seen. The best way to a flat abdomen is exercise. Running is great.

Situps and the ab chair will tone and strengthen (mostly tone) the muscles, but the only way to get rid of fat anywhere is to burn more calories than you consume. Fat is stored energy; if you use more energy than you consume the fat will be converted to energy and away it goes.
All you're doing right now is toning and strengthening muscles that are under a layer of fat. They will continue to stay under a layer of fat until you burn the fat away. Exercise your whole body not just the one area.

Considering that you are only 100lbs you probably have no fat to lose and you have body-image issues. But, if you really need to lose some fat, crunches aren't going to do it. You need cardio. Try running, the eliptical, or dancing.

okay, you most likely have a perfectly fine, flat stomach...but the curve of your spine makes it seem large when you look down at it...try looking in a mirror, and keep up w/ the ab exercises!! i tried, but i don't have nearly enough self-discipline to keep it up
