I've asked this question. Most people just don't care about their spelling, and they claim to be in too much of a hurry to use Spell Check. They are idiots.

I don't use the Yahoo! Answers spell-checker!
My personal reason is because it's in the WRONG language!!
I speak - and write - British English, not American English!
Why the heck should I be forced to use American spellings? As far as I'm concerned, they're WRONG!
So I use the British English spell-checker that comes with my browser..! Just in case!

If you notice there are a LOT of these questions not worded or spelled correctly. It is done with intent on behalf of Yahoo to "stage" these questions - people are paid to do this in much the same way that false profiles are placed on match.com and, ironically, yahoo personals...

Most people just do not care about spelling. Also, I've seen a paper that was "spell-checked" that still had spelling errors, as the mispelt word was still a word.

I can only speak for myself, but I don't use spellcheck because my spelling is flawless.

I don't use it because it takes extra time. I make a few typos but mostly my typing is ok. I feel it is my choice. Maybe i am being inconsiderate, but that is what i do.

I never use it. :D Then again, I really don't have to. But for most people, it's a race.
