How long is your normal period? Is it always heavy or is this heavier than normal and accompanied by pain? It could be a cyst. Is there any possibility you were pregnant? You may be experiencing a miscarriage. It's really hard to tell...sometimes our periods just do strange things...especially when stressed or ill...I lost my period completely for two months during and after a really nasty stomach virus which lasted almost a month...I thought I must be pregnant. If you are really concerned, considered going to the doctor or an emergency room...it may just be hormone fluctuations, or it may be something more, but don't worry too much...it happens to a lot of women and there is usually nothing seriously wrong.

I personally think that you could wait a few more days. An average period last one week (7 days). After that, if your period still shows no sign of slowing down then I would make an appointment. Dont worry your head off.

Yes, there might be something really wrong.Call your doctor and do what he tells you. This happened to me many years ago and I asked some of my friends and my mother and they told me it happens sometimes so I did nothing and almost bleed to death.Ended up in the hospital on X-Mas Eve having blood transfusions. If your bleeding to much you will lose the clotting factor in your blood and it will not stop. Please see a Doctor ASAP.

Yes, you should be worried. There are several things that could be causing this. One, it could be a miscarriage, two it could be endometriosis. whatever it may be, you need to get examined by a doctor to confirm your diagnosis

This surpassed off to me once - it lasted 11 days then on my next one it became time-honored. i'm certain that is only a one off like mine. If it takes position next time too then possibly you should flow to the medical doctors? x

If you are worried then it is a good idea to see your doc. But they will tell you that problems only begin if you are going through napkins every hour.
