Question

All of us humans are single handedly responsible for global warming. Scientist have looked back thousands of years and the temperatures have been steadily the same, but looking back starting 50 years ago, they have increased. I am not a treehuger trying to get you to save the rainforest of save the dolphins, I am a 14 year old boy trying to make a difference and yes I am trying to help out the best I can. You see, we let out tones of carbon dioxide by our cars, or electricity, so what you can do is go to americanforests.org to buy a tree. Trees help get read of the gases that cause global warming. Why should you care?? Well people think it isn't going to happen during our lifetime, but what they don't know is that it could take place as son as 2035. Think about your children and grandchildren..... that's going to effect them. Do something. Please don't call me stupid, don't say the Earth is going throught natural changes, because it did not put a hole in the ozone layer by itself.HELP!

Unfortunately the scientists looking back for thousands of years have found wildly shifting climates not steady temperatures, back in the day I had teachers lie to me too, and tell me all sorts of things that weren't true, like if Regan gets elected there'll be a nuclear war and you'll all die or if Regan gets re-elected there'll be a nuclear war and you'll all die. Relax, enjoy your summer vacation and remember that the year after Krakatoa erupted there was no summer in the American Mid-West ( run a search for "year without summer") and that a few thousand years ago after the ice melted the American Mid-West was a sea.
Oh also assuming that you are a kid and not someone cleverly trying to sell trees, scientist have found out that the methane given off by trees causes more global warming than the CO2 the remove from the atmosphere.

Yes the globe is warming, It has warmed, and then cooled 7 times already (that can be proven). The reason you hear so much hype about this in todays world and way is because people profit from it. As most people we are driven by fear and dollars, what better way to gain dollars than to make you fear full.

Some day we well all be gone, the world would have gone though one of it's Ice Age/Draught Age cycles and some sientist will dig up all the artifacts that we have left behind or someone will be pumping us out of a spigot as a fosil fuel. Don't be so egotistcal to think we can change that. Oh, absolutely we should be good stewards of our host while here, but beleive me we will meet our demise and unless it's a mutually distructive nuclear assualt, it won't be by our hands.

Very nice, my son, but this really doesn't belong in this catagory. Aslo, I saw in a couple of your other answers you using very bad language. This immediatly brings your IQ down ten points in my opinion...and a 14 year old boy can't afford that. Kudos to you for caring about the enviroment. Post it some wheres else though.

Hun, i think it is awesome that you are doing this to try and help, but unfortunately, not enough people care to make a difference! But don't give up hope, you should try and do a little more though, like put up flyers in your neighborhood and start petitions and stuff, that might make more of an impact!
