The new movie starring Meryl Streep is called "The Devil Wears Prada". So, what is prada?

Prada is the name of a fashion designer in, I believe, in France. So if you wear Prade you are wearing a piece of clothing etc. made/designed by him. I don't knnow his/her first name. Its like Gucci! Or RalphLoren' Its the "name" that is "in" at the moment! So they are using "Prada" as a selling point on his designs!
