I installed google toolbar which comes equipped with automatic pop up blocker. It is an amazing thing. Try it. Download it from toolbar.google.com

Yahoo has a pop up blocker.. but the best one is Xp service pack2 built in pop up blocker

windows XP SP2 has pop-up blocker..google toolbar has it as well.
or Use Mozilla firefox and have total control over your browser.

internet explorer 6 for windows xp has one builtin TOOLS > POPUP BLOCKER

when you want to click on a link to iopen something in a popup hold down the CTRL key while clicking to temporarily bypass the blocker

I currently have this one on my computer, but you can always try the Yahoo! toolbar pop-up blocker.

if using windows internet explorer, try using Mozilla's firefox browser or Opera. these come with better built-in security than MS-puny IE.
