I am on CD 10 now and on my 4th cycle of 100mg clomid.

DH and I had sex on sunday night (CD 7) but won't DTD now until saturday (CD13) as we are working opposite shifts. Can I still get pregnant on this?? When would I be most likely to ovulate after taking clomid given that I am CD 10 now. I'm scared that I've already missed the boat. Am trying everything this month from when i finally get to be with DH - preseed, grapefruit juice, green tea. ANything else I can try???

It all depends on when you ovulate. You can get pregnant from sex up to 3-5 days before ovulation, but your best chance is the day before ovulation.

You can determine when your body is approaching ovulation by charting your fertility signs. Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will give you all the information you need to know when you fertile.

The *short* version (and like all short versions, it is *wrong* in many crucial respects) is that you ovulate about 2 weeks (usually 12-16 days) before your next period. This will allow you to *estimate* when you will ovulate, but not really know.

If you think you will be ovulating between now and Saturday, I would suggest you find the time for sex. If you are working on different shifts, that still leaves you 8 hours when *neither* of you are working...would you rather eat dinner together or make a baby?

Good luck!!

You say you are on your 4th cycle of clomid. When did you ovulate the previous 3 cycles? That ought to tell you if you would still be able to get pg or not. The women I know that are on clomid tend to ovulate around CD 14, which should give you time to get pg. As long as you are bd'ing around the time you ovulate, you should have good chances.

(I am assuming that you do know when you ovulate, since you are on clomid).

Good luck!

Well sweetie , I have been through the whole fertility thing myself , and it isn't easy . One thing that I have learned through my experience with TTC is that don't stress your self , when your stressed your body reacts to it in a way that you wouldn't want it to IE : annovulation , miscarriage ,ect . So stop STRESSING ! Secondly semen can stay dormant up to 24-48 and even 72 hours in your tubes , cervix ,ect . So stop worrying . If its your calling to get pregnant then you will , but don't get upset if you don't get pregnant on your forth cycle . You may just need injectables . Clomid doesn't help everyone . If I may ask , what exactly were you diagnosed with ?
I hope this helps.

I don't know anything about chlomid. i presume it makes you ovulate on day 14, thus creating a 'normal' text book cycle for you. CD 13 ought to be just the right time, but like I say, I don't know about chlomid.

Take a look at www.fertilityfriend.com. Try charting your fertility their, or using some of the methods they suggest.

I wish you luck xx

(Babyshadow) She is TRYING to get pregnant moron!!! I am so sick of people answering questions they know nothing about just for the stupid points.

As for you honey CD 7 is probably too early, but you never know. You will probably still have a shot on CD 13. Baby dust to you!!!

to be honest I can not give you any real fertility tips but by just reading your question I felt I had to answer it. I know that a baby is very important to you, but I think you need to just try to relax alittle, stress and the pressure to concive can make the very opposite happen. I only know this because I had very good friends in this position, when they eventually took the pressure of themselves to get pregnant, they put babies to the back of their minds, went on holiday and concieved. good luck
