I hate snakes so very much, when I pass over/on/near even a roadkill snake my heart skips a beat and I want to cry. I seem to be getting worse about it. Anyone feel the same way?

I am scared out of my mind of snakes and for a good reason: as a child I was bitten by a pit viper and the treatment was excruciating but the funny part is that I can tolerate the big ones!

Why? Snakes are usually shy. You should visit a herpatarium and learn about snakes. They are actually fascinating.

i am not a herptephobiac as snakes are the only thing
i feel this way about. if one comes within several feet of
me, i can feel it's presence.

They kind of scare me, but I think they are pretty cool. Have you ever seen one eat a rat? It's so cool.
