Let me make it clear.. if you are that lady, and don't want to be looked at as cheap.., how would you pick up the coins so that no one can suspect you?

Okay, I am just absolutely stumped trying to find the question here. You want us to guess how she was picking them up, and as a clue you give that there were four people waiting?
I'm guessing she reached down and picked them up with her fingers?

pick them, mostly will think you dropped it. Do not pay attention on what the other thinks about you!
