I dont think there is a right time...I guess just when you have some money tucked away to keep you afloat till you find another job. If your boss is a piece of crap and your co-workers suck then I suggest quiting as soon as you can. Life is too short to stay at a job that you hate...hhmm maybe I should take my own advice!

After you get past the "You should just be thankful to have a job" or the "Don't quit until you have another job" talk. The right time is when you don't have the energy to go in to work. Staying at a job you hate just drags your self esteem into the mud and actually makes it harder to find a new job because your just so depressed all the time. Today set a up a "I quit party". Make it for a month from now, even invite your friends. It'll force you into action and have something to look forward to. Good Luck

My advise is to wait until you can put your current job on your resume without fear of other employers looking at it and questioning whether or not you fully learned and understood all of the duties and responsibilities the job called for. Furthermore, you want to stick around long enough to let other employers know you have some 'staying power' and are not just looking to get snatched by the first employer who offers you more money; most employers are looking for some potential loyalty (it is very costly to have high turnover)

the right time to quit is when you hate your job so much that you can't stand the thought of work. The right time to tell is after you already found a new job.

it depends on your job. if you receive holiday and sick pay then make your last day there the last day for the payperiod.
My last day at my previous job was on the 26th and they turned around and took out the pay for the 27th-30th. As if I had taken vacation for those days instead of paying them to me in my last check.
If you aren't happy working there anymore start looking for another job, then once you have something lined up, put in your 2 week notice. I found my current job through Yahoo Hot Jobs and I love it.

Good luck :)

Damn that sounds like my job.... lol. Too many variables to give a pat answer to that. Just get started on looking for new jobs ASAP, then you 'll have the option of quitting when you want.

Never quit your job unless you have another job to go to --- just bide your time and search for a job that you like. When you get the job, then quit.

Sounds like time to quit to me. I just quit my job. It feels great. And I already have another, much better, job.

Go around applying places and have a new job before u just quit the one u have now.....but if your that unhappy find something else first..unless u can afford to just quit..then i guess u could just quit, but i did that and its not fun...so i would find something else first.

Ya gotta eat. The right time is when you get another job. Then you do the "walk in".
