no, it only gets worse as time goes by. if you have kids, it will one day turn on them too. or, at least effect their lives, cause no matter what you think...kids know!
get in touch with 'ASSOCIATION FOR BATTERED WOMEN!' it's listed in the phone book. no one deserves to be treated this way. it's NOT your fault! and, no matter what they say, it will continue as long as they don't get help for it!!!! as long as you listen to their excuses you will stay there, so just don't listen. you know in your gut that it's not right.

My head says no, but I know ladies probably do. I myself have never been in a relationship like that but I did grow up with an abusive father. I have since forgiven him and continue to have a relationship with him so I know it is not impossible, but thats the difference he is my father no matter what. You dont have to be with someone who treats you that way. There is someone who will love you the same or more and not lay a hand on you. So, I would say no.

I did for 12 years. The occasional became the frequent, became the daily. If anyone is in that situation my only advice is this.get out!

are you talking about yourself?this guy i dated he was the sweetest guy you could met but when he would drink he was abusive.if its you or someone you know get out because it never gets better and what is occasional will turn out to be all the time

Not a chance. The first time they get physical their out the door. no one should put up with this.

maybe, i guess if he didnt hit me most of the time and like if he didnt' hit me hard, whoop... there goes my self-esteem and pride right out the door.
