Does anyone know of a way to keep polo shirt collars from getting all warped i.e. curling, creasing where you don't want them, etc?

I have more polos than I can count and at least 50% of them suffer from this problem. Ironing does work but it's not a permanent fix. If you're out for a night your collar will go back to its misshapen form. It basically makes them unwearable unless you don't mind looking like a complete goofball.

My husband turns his collars up when he washes and dries them. He "swares" it is the only way to keep them in shape.
