No, not outlawed, but regulated as it currently is. Pornography is a personal choice, just like Drug Use and Prostitution. People who view porn usually do it in the privacy of their own homes, harming no one. People who produce it are making huge profits and paying huge taxes on the sale and distribution of it. The major Hotel chains are making a mint from it by offering it on their in-house closed circuit TV as pay per view to hotel guests. The number one thing searched for on the Internet is porn.

To your second question, that is for individuals, parents and each person to decide for themselves. Proper supervision, proper education, and a healthy discussion of what it is are a requirement for each child to learn. My morals are not damaged because someone else looks at it. I am bright enough to change the channel. I do not need someone else making my entertainment decisions for me.

I believe that the primary thing that anyone who looks at it should realize it that the actors are just that...Actors...making a choice on how they want to make a living. The women are not forced into it and they are generally better looking than average, the men are usually far above average in the physical endowment area. After all, who wants to look at the girl who wore glasses and was still in a training bra in the 12th grade, and what porn director will hire the average schmuck with the average schmeckle when he can hire a buff and hung stud for the same price. (OK, there are a few who would watch that, but come on...LOL).

Porn should be legal, regulated and taxed.
Alcohol should be legal, regulated and taxed.
Prostitution should be legal, regulated and taxed.
Recreational Drug Use should be legal, regulated and taxed.
Tobacco use should be legal, regulated and taxed.

Addictions and diseases contracted from consumption of any of the above should be paid for by the individual experiencing it, not through subsidies and insurance coverage. Nor should they be allowed to sue for bad outcomes or adverse experiences after making personal decisions to consume, participate, or experience any of the above

Stay out of my personal business, I'll stay out of your's. If it doesn't harm another person or damage another person's property or infringe on another person's rights....Get out of the way.

People say porn doesn't harm anybody. That's a lie. Porn addiction is a serious problem for millions of men, and it has ruined their lives and wrecked their marriages and families. I would support the legal banning of it, but at very least Internet service providers should be required to offer porn-free service to its customers (server-side filtering that can't be overridden on a person's computer). Saying "if you don't like it, don't look at it" is sort of like telling a drug addict not to shoot up when he's got a closet that's permanently full of heroin and syringes. It just ain't gonna happen.

Yup I agree that sex should be a private and intimate act, that said I don't think that porn should be outlawed. Once the government get to decide what people can and cannot do we have given up the freedoms that are the only reason our nation is still, well at least were not a third world country yet. People should not however be able to file a lawsuit or even get upset when something they have filmed ends up causing pain in their lives or effecting potentials in romance (potential partners), education (like getting into a good school), work or really any part of their life. IF YOU PUT IT ON THE INTERNET OR EVEN JUST ON FILM IT IS UP TO YOU TO KEEP IT PRIVATE! ! ! and nothing on the internet is private. people need to think before they act :-)

No it shouldn't be outlawed.

Yeah I think there should be age restrictions. I mean I don't think it's appropriate for 10 year olds to look at....

I think the current age is 17 or 18 depending on the state.

It's perfectly healthy and natural to look at porn. I mean even married people do it. Those people that are saying that married people should not watch porn are saying it because either they have selfesteeme issues or they don't trust their spouse.

(To the ppl who are against it:) It's a form of stimulation, it doesn't mean that your spouse is actually lusting after the blonde bimbo...he's just stimulated by watching the act, so get over yourself already.

Have fun!

Absolutely not! Why are people so obsessed about telling others what to do and how to do it, even within our own homes and bedrooms? Personally, I don't care for porn. However, I like knowing that if I wanted to, I could go rent a movie and watch it with my husband...No problem!

Alcohol and porn are two very different things. Alcohol is addictive and dangerous. Porn...whenever did you hear of anyone killing an innocent family after watching two or three people having sex during a movie? Not ever! If anything, people are more relaxed!!!

The Government, Religious Sects, etc...should have no say in what happens inside our homes...especially within our bedrooms. Government is here to keep people safe, etc. not to impart values and morals. The work of imparting values and morals to their children is left up to the parents.

You don't think kids should watch or don't like it? Well, teach your children! Teach them to respect their bodies, teach them to respect others' bodies, and to see love and sex as intertwined and not as nasty or dirty! The Government should not be regulating based on the morals & values of some of its constituency.

The idea is not practical. All that will do is create yet another criminal class for private acts involving consenting adults in the privacy of their dwelling place. Didn't we learn anything from Prohibition?
Age restrictions? Certainly.

modify) Yes, it does give the INEXPERIENCED viewer unrealistic expectations. This is mostly a self-correcting problem, so long as the uninterested (potential) partner replies that that only happens in porn films, & that they aren't a porn actor/actress.

Yes, it should absolutely be outlawed. Porn is the single most destructive influence on men in this world. It teaches men to view intrinsically valuable ladies as nothing but pieces of meat for self-gratification.
Enforcement - however, could be a problem:)
It would be better if fathers would step up to bat and teach their boys how to be real men and put a reasonable lid on certain urges. Were men, for crying out loud, not animal savages.

I don't think porn should be outlawed, but the age limit could be a good thing. I don't think kids who are like 10 should look at that. I think that the age limit should be around like 16. The US would make it 18 though.

No, only because that would involve the government censoring what is ok for people to view and that goes against our freedom and liberties.

On an ethical and moral standpoint, yeah, I definately think you should not be able to go online and find a virtual buffet of free porn.

I think that if you are in a relationship with someone, you could use it to spice things up, but it can destroy your whole idea of intimacy if you become addicted.
