Since babies should use blankets, due to the SIDS risk, there is no reason to cool his room so much even though babies should never be overheated.
That said, AC can dry out babies skin, nasal passages and sinuses. You might try to set your AC to 76 or 78 and enjoy a little summer weather while you can before winter comes back.
And your energy bills will thank you.

Everyone always tells me, if you are too cold or hot then your baby is probably also.
Check your baby and maybe dress him/her in a body outfit during the night...
I did this and changed mine often anyways cause they get dirty or wet or what ever ..Mine is now five months old and its summer time here and he now sleeps with a t-shirt or just a diaper.
Each baby is different. You are going to be up with your baby a lot during the night at two months old anyways, so just go with the flow.

If the room is cool then put the baby in warm sleeper type pajamas. If the room is warm then a t-shirt and a diaper will do. Just keep your ac set the same way you always have it set.

My doctor told me while I was in the hospital after giving birth to keep a baby's room around 70 and dress him in a sleeper or something like that. I live in VA so its a different climate but you can always put a onesie on him and then a sleeper sack when he goes down for the night

it needs to feel a bit cold to you- it will be perfect for him. also keep in mind that if he ever runs a fever, he will feel like he is on fire, but the temp might be only 100 degrees. Babies just run a little warmer than adults! A cool room helps prevent SIDS, though, from what I have read

Babies tend to over-heat faster than adults so you don't want to keep the room too warm. Putting the baby in a onsie when it is hot is recommended. Get a digital thermometer to test the AC unit in his bedroom also to make sure it is working properly, and make sure the windows are closed.

The temperature can drop to 68 and your baby will be fine. The average comfortable temperature for a baby is 70. If he feels cool, you can always dress him in layers for his comfort and yours.

same as yours.Never make a room too hot for a child especially in the summertime.Whatever temp you are comfortable with is what is good for a baby.their temps are hotter then ours and so right now a light blanket and a onesie and a diaper is good for them to sleep in.

I was always told that if you are comfortable, more than likely your baby will be too. I used to worry about that a lot when my kids were babies; and this is the answer I got from just about everyone that I asked.
