I have seen about dozen homes for sale, they were all so dirty and smell of urine. Why do the english keep their homes so dirty?

I know loads of English people and I'd say about 5% have dirty homes, I reckon perhaps you're looking at ones that were in use by old people who died, I find that old peoples houses often smell of wee, but I have noticed a couple of younger peoples houses smell of it too.
Maybe you should try looking in different areas or maybe the homes have had squatters in who made it all dirty, most English people have clean homes, fair enough you can say they have untidy homes, but not dirty.

Don't you think you're generalising a bit too much here? The English don't all have dirty, smelly homes, just as other races don't all have dirty smelly homes, some people don't notice that their homes are stinky and dirty, but I think you'll find the majority of English people are houseproud and keep their houses nice and clean, some even have a maid or a cleaner to do it for them. Would you please be so kind as to think before you ask such a broad generalising question in future. Thank you. And if that's what you think of the English and their homes, why don't you move somewhere else?

I would be most offended by some of the other comments about looking at cheap houses. Our house was cheap for the area but I keep it very clean and tidy, I work full time, I have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and a marine fish tank and I manage to keep that all clean.
I think a lot of people are just to bloody lazy to keep their houses clean which is a disgrace, they always blame something but if you want a clean house you have to set a routine and stick to it.

If I were you I'd buy a dirty place and clean it up, you then know that you have made it lovely and you can have pride in yourself and your house.

showers are a dangerous place due to the mildew factor with the water vapor and the tile texture
but the biggest risk is the slippage quotient due to the nonporous surface of the floor where if you bend over to get your lost soap you might slip and hit your head
its a dangerous maneuver but its essential that you keep yourself clean and smell free to attract mates and have good skin
Satan is dirty
Canadians are clean and shiny
look at Shania Twain she bathes in Perrier and uses hand made goats milk soap and has a jacuzzi on her jet
plus she douches with Mr.clean
and chews on parsley it kills bad breath odour bacteria

I actually agree with you. I live in Spain and in comparison the British homes are really filthy! Mind you, don't we all have better things to do than run around dusting the skirting boards, and this is the best one yet, hanging out the washing in order!!!

This question doesn't really deserve the dignity of an answer. If you dislike England so much go somewhere else.

I cannot believe you are being so narrow minded. Some of us have work and children as well as cleaning. If we could all afford cleaners then we probably would!!
