Do you have to use tanning lotion when using the tanning bed? What if I used cocoa butter lotion...would it be the same as any other tanning lotion? Thanks!

You have to be very carefull and understand the rays from the sun: UVA and UVB.... UVA is the one that destroys your elasticin and collagen (the same ones that when we grow older they start the diminish the production) and this is what makes the 90% of aging signs and the tanning slons have these rays, does not cause cancer but help accelerate aging process and not to mention "age spots" . Also the UVB is the ray that burns you and contributes to skin cancer. What you need are products that help you get protected form both rays and always try to avoid the SPF over 30 because these will cause your skin to get irritated. I use these great products that help me get a nice tan and they also have a tan enhancer taht makes your tan last longer....you could find them in this site, at the left margin look for BefoRE Sun and you will find them .... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arb... the best part is that they have ingredients for anti aging.... wonderful...and the hair protectn is just divine because it also works like a detangler..... and you could also use the "chap stick" they have to protect and hydrate your lips .......

well you go to a Tanning bed to tann obviously and indoor tanning lotion will maximize this . most tanning lotions are designed just for tanning beds because the attract the lamps in the bed so if you use cocoa butter it will prob not give that great of results but an accelerator will be fine but u will never kno if you don't try also try some diff lotions like unforgiven its really good you should be able to find it at your tanning salon.

VVV also don't listen to these ppl who are telling you tanning beds are bad because its the same as tanning outdoors and nobody wants to be pale lol VVVV

enjoy and i hope i helped!

Please don't use the tanning bed!! I used to do it, but sun damage is the #1 cause of spots and wrinkles, not to mention skin cancer...and the tanning bed is much worse than the sun! My best friend is 25 and has terrible crow's feet, don't let this be you!

You really can get a believable tan from lotions, foams, creams, sprays, etc. now and keep your skin looking good for years to come! My favorites are Jergens Natural Glow and Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Foam.

it is bad for the acrilyic (the plastic stuuf between you and the lights) if you use any other lotion than the specialtanning lotions that they sell in the salon. the lotions they sell may be spendy, but they will make your tan better, and faster, and you wont turn orange. if you dont want to buy these lotions, then use plain lotions a few hours before you go in, and right after you go, so they arent exposed to the acrilyic.

Well it depends on what type of waves are hitting your skin. If you know both UVA and UVB rays will be hitting your skin, then you should use lotion without a doubt. UVA rays make your skin turn pink after a long time, but UVB rays puncture deeper into your skin and could cause skin cancer. Use that lotion.
