Ok. Ill just say it how it is. I have a big butt and hips and Im curvy. Some times I feel bigger than I am. Im not complaining, I love my body. But whenever I go out places I never go to far from my mom because I feel so uncomfortable around older guys... Im just 14 and when guys my age look at me its not a big deal. But I just feel so nervous and uncomfortable when older guys who look like they are in their 30s or and older look at me. And sometimes theyre with their wife/girlfriend and kids! I always hear stuff about girls my age getting raped and molested and all, and every time I see stuff like that I just get more worried when I go places.
Im not scared to go places its just that I feel uncomfortable a lot of the time Im out...
Can anybody give me some tips on how to not be worried or how to deal with this issue?

I dress like an appropiate 14 year old... Im not completly covered up and plain but then I dont always show my body off. I usually wear jeans, a nice but not too flashy shirt and usually a jacket.
And I difenitly do not wear make up my mom wont let me.

In today's age of "if you have it, flaunt it", it's refreshing to know that there are teens who are not just about that. You definitely have a right to be concerned about molesters and rapers. There are many of them out there and they are always ready to pounce. With this said here is my take on your dilemma.
First of all...be proud of your body. Make it a priority to always take good care of it...meaning...yourself. This is essentials to a good life. Also now is a good time to begin to develop an inner self assurance that manifest itself on the outside. Not by showing off your body, but by showing strength, dignity and poise in who you are. Don't let yourself be frightened and intimidated with the outside world, instead walk tall and always look for chances to improve yourself...your mind. Always be aware of your surroundings and strive to keep yourself safe and not in venerable positions.
Show respect to people and demand respect from others...especially males.I believe that if you follow this recipe your outside beauty will tend to reflect your true beauty, which is on the inside.

Well I think that you should always stay in a safe situation. Don't make your self available or approachable to these older guys. Always go out with a group of friends. These older guys probably think that your older, some of them may just be weird. It sounds like you love your body but it is very important not to show it off. If you wear clothing that is too revealing then you are going to get this extra attention that you don't want. Be very careful and if you do ever get caught in a situation, run away or yell fire. BE CAREFUL!!

It's good that you have self-esteem. However, you did not mention what type of clothes you were wearing. I'm not saying you should cover yourself up in a poncho or anything like that. Just don't wear clothes that are too tight fitting, they portray your figure more obviously. And if you can't stop worrying, learn some karate to protect yourself in the future when your mom can't be around you the whole time.

That sucks that you feel uncomfortable when you go out, my cousin is 16 and she has a huge chest & feels the same way whenever she goes out. Wear a sweater right now while you learn to deal with the attention, & when a guy looks at you, you just stare right back!

The older guys who are looking at you probably have problems of their own that they need to deal with... especially if they have a need to be with a fourteen your old. Keep loving who you are and your apparance and if an older guys says something, treat him like you would everone else so he doesn't feel what he thinks is a special connection.. if they say something, also pretend to be talking on your cell phone to your boyfriend

These are sicko's with pedophilic personalities. Stay as far from them as you can! You're just a little girl although your body is changing..anyone who thinks and feels otherwise is a sick bastard. They can be dangerous so you're wise to stay close to your Mom. She'll likely end up decking someone at some time for looking at you that way...I KNOW I WOULD!

Get used to it! Don't fear for your safety, just use your common sense when you go out. There will always be tons of creepy older men out there to make you feel uncomfortable, you have to learn to ignore it. Or perfect a really dirty look you can give them.

Girls appear older than their age, and many guys appear to have no limitations on whom they will try to have sex with. Fortunately, you understand both those things, and do not seem "guy crazy", so you should be ok. Just never, ever, be along with an older guy -- you never know what might happen.

Rape is a very real threat. I hear one-in-three females get raped. Just use common sense and don't hang out with a lot of dudes. I'm not saying you'll get raped if you do, but it's a risk.
