Why is that young 14 year old girl seeking legal action against MySpace? She isn't even suppose to be using it, and by her accepting the EUA aren't her parents the only ones legally responsible for her mis-use and therefore compromised safety?

YES, but more so AMERICA is stupid for allowing these frivolous law suits... It is all B.S., if she hadn't been stupid she would have been fine...

She was a 14 year old looking for a senior football player... And a 19 year old lied to her... Hell, pretty damn close to a senior in my book. I hate the fact that people can sue for anything... nobody remembers that $hit Happens!!!!!

She isn't too young to be using MySpace but if she answered the age question honestly no one over the age of 16 or 18 - I don't remember which - should be able to contact her unless they can identify her e mail address or last name when attempting to add her as a friend or contact her. Anyone can develop a profile on MySpace and not be honest about their age, there's no way of regulating that BUT what was she doing and where were her parents while she was off meeting this guy? Did they never tell her about not meeting or talking to strangers, especially people you meet online???

Idiot may not be the best term to describe her actions. It is amazing that after all the info about on line predators that she would be foolish enough to risk her safety. Her parents are responsible for what goes on in their household so someone should of been paying attention to where she was visiting on line.
This is America and suing is a way of life. I am curious to see what will happen in this case.

Unfortunately we now live in a world where people sue others for the most idiotic reasons. how bout the lady who sued McDonald's for her obesity. or the guy who sued because he burnt himself on his coffee.

Everybody is looking to make a buck. and that's what it boils down to. Once they find that loop hole they jump through it as fast as possible.

Then to make things worse our court system is like a circus show.

I'm sure it's really her parents seeking legal action. The sad thing is that they will probaly win if legal action is taken...

Yes, she and her parents are idiots. Her parents should be accused of child endangerment for not being aware of her on-line activities and monitoring her appropriately.
