no but the reason he looked so gay is because he was trying to use keith richardsmovements and for the way he acted in the movie... like how he moved may have seemed gay but keith richards was his influence... not sure why but I thought his performance in POTC rocked... I love Johnny Depp, and Johnny Depp as a half crazy pirate... he was soo hot!!! but no he even hit on Elizibeth while on the Island...

No, just seriously baked. lol Too much sun and too much time on the sea (hence, the drunken state of walking [though, with all the rum, that is also a factor]). Also, Depp said he based Sparrow off Pepe Le Pew (sp?) and Keith Richards. Keith does have that slurred/baked state of being, as well. LOL
Gay or not, Sparrow's character is brilliant!
