I bought a DIY waxing thing from Nair awhile ago. It came with towelettes that had special stuff on it that soothed my skin and got the excess wax off. Just get the most inexpensive Nair waxing kit out there and make sure it comes with those towelettes.

Warm water instantly dilutes the wax - don't scrub! Just gently pick it off - and if all else fails - baby oil will help. One more tip - don't put moisturizer immediately afterwards, it will clog up the pores on your legs - do it the next day. Your legs will look glossy!
