I didn't hit anyone or anything, I was present for a fight. Can they really charge me.

I want to add that I live in Kentucky, and I am a minor. I was in a car behind the car she was hit in. Its actually kind of confusing.

they can charge you but depending on the evidence that they have against you you might not be convicted. If you have a public attorney i would ask him to get you your discovery, if not you can go to court and request a copy of the the discover. If there is no evidence to support the charges that they are filing against you have nothing to worry about.
GOOD LUCK!

It doesn't matter if you did it or not.

What matters is can you prove you are innocent (or in the washy world, can they prove you guilty).

In the end, it's all about turning people against each other (so the one with the most fingers being pointed at them, is the one they go after). Charge them all with assault and let them figure out who did it.

Best of luck though... I beleive you, no... really I do. Nice of you to break it up though.

It depends entirely where you live. In my state, yes, you can be charged and even serve time for being an accessory to an assault. Chose better friends.

you can be charged if you had something to do with the fight. Battery is when you hit someone, assault can be charged if you egged it on.....at least in michigan.
