I used to think it was ok for men and women to be friends. And I still do. But, I have had many friends get cheated on by their boyfriends or girlfriends with their "so-called platonic friends"

So, now I think if someone is in a relationship that is serious, there is no reason for them to "hang out" alone with a member of the opposite sex. If it is a party, get together, bbq, event, then that is different. But not to hang out alone. That's weird.

I wouldn't let my man hang out with a girl he knows really well! That's out right asking for trouble in the relationship, get real.

I wouldn't. Even if you don't know this girl very well, she should offer for you to go along since she does know that you exist. Your man should know better than to "hang out" with her in the first place without you.

You need to offer a little more info.
Has he known this girl for a long time? Been friends with her since elementary school? Met her last week?
If she has been a friend of his since before you met, get to know her, make her your friend as well. Cause if she is a close friend and you try to make him stop hanging out with her, guess what...you lose.

And yes, I do have women friends that I have had for over half my life, and am very close to them. And no, I have never slept with any of them, or cheated on gf's with them.

hmmm teeheee i end up with my bestfriend after 12 yrs "reno" so i would have to say no. we always had a thing for each other inspite of our marriages. and we are madly inlove now living a secret life. his wife never trusted me and my husband never trusted him. but we love each other unconditionally for 12 yrs and made love last month for 2 wks straight due to an opportunity that allowed us to be together. yes it's wrong but we are inlove... soulmates forever.....

no, and why does he want too. Is she an old firend of his? Then he should respect you enough to invite you to all 'hang out' together.
