I would chear. Christmas is stupid. Where in the Bible does it say Jesus was born December 25? It's a big lie.

Give them a round of applause. Christmas has been destroyed by greed and commercialism. Kids don't believe in the magic of it anymore, and it long ceased to be a celebration of the birth of Jesus in any significant way.

It'll never happen, but one day I'd like to see it made a once in every two or maybe three year celebration, and an embargo on Christmas decorations and adverts on TV until at least December 1st.

If you mean ban, I might celebrate in private anyway but as Christmas for most people is now commercial rather than religious, you could say it was something else. I might say I won't have a Christmas tree or anything but I will get "new year" presents for all of my family and make an effort to visit them all or invite them to me during December. It would make life easier in a way because you could have your Christmas on different days with different people.

I dont think that it is all that bad to band christmas I mean most people have forgotten what it is all about. However I think I would be depressed because for me, I enjoy given and buying presents for my family, and friends, when I can afford it. I too enjoy recieving presents. I think that I would probably voice my opinion, why would the goverment want to?

Laugh and still celebrate anyway!!

What they gonna do??

There was a religion that were trying to do this recently I'm not sure which 1 it was but basically the holidays are all based on the Christian year so they took a stand against it...

As for the government the amount of trade that goes on at that time of year, lets be honest, its not going to happen coz the state would loose money!!

They did, last year. It may be small things but they are trying to be politically correct for those that do not celebrate Christmas, like ban outdoor street lighting in town, and certain traditional things. They cannot however, Ban Christmas.

It's madness.

I presume you mean "banned"? And why would they do that? Do you have inside information? To be honest, it would not bother me personally - but I am sure the retail industry would throw its full weight against the government in such a situation - think of all the money that would be lost if Christmas ceased - it is so commercialised now .......................

You're wondering whether the gov't is going to "band" christmas?

...They wouldn't, it's the time of the most spending and selling, and the gov't gets enormous taxes from it all.

You're not American are you? This a capitalist government. Christmas is more about money than anything religious these days. That ain't gonna happin' here.

You couldnt do much about it. If the government were to ban christmas, it would happen slowly over time through extreme beaucracy.
