Where are you from?? Pet peeves are all over the place. I have never paid for one, most of the time everyone gives them away.
Most of them are ugly little things and they cause you to be in a bad mood because they tend to follow you every where you go.
Take one home first before you pay for it, because you will end up trying to return it and they won't refund your money.

Buy a pet peeve? Here's a deal - I'll GIVE you one!
Per the Merriam-Webster on-line dictionary, a pet peeve is "a frequent subject of complaint." Now, since you are looking for something exotic, and "frequent" and "exotic" are just not synonymous, I don't think there is such a thing.
Of course, if your question was just an exercise in wit, here's the pet peeve I promised you: Don't you hate it when your wit is not recognized on e-mail? If you present it verbally, you have the tone of voice and physical features you can use to make your point, but on e-mail, a ;) symbol just doesn't do it, does it?
Good luck.

Lol, a pet peeve is something that causes you to tick. Like, my pet peeves: people who make you look at their feet, darkness, being surprised, male chauvinists, and when people try to feed me something when I intentionally tell them I dislike the food. Like, my dad still buys me burgers with extra onions, he likes onions, even when I tell him I hate them.

Pet peeves are things that people can't stand. Not actual pets. I hope this question was a joke or that's just sad.
For example, one of my pet peeves is people who post stupid questions on yahoo! answers.

It completely relies upon on what type or style of puppy peeve you've. i'd attempt to discover others who've an same peeve as you & connect one in all their help communities. you'd be shocked how efficient they are going to be. good success! :)

Hmm..From my understanding, I thought a pet peeve was something that just got on your nerves like annoying people, etc.

first you record a bird chirping in a high pitched tone onto a broken record, then get a friend to tie you to a chair for 24 hours, and you play the record constantly.
