Disappointed yes, mad not really. I think even playing up to their potential they still would've had a hard time making it out of group. Italy's always tough, the czechs were just about european champions and you never what you're gonna get from the ghanains. Let's see what happens in 2010.

Yes, I am a little angry. We were in a very difficult group, but that doesnt justify the way we played. Against the Czech Republic, we were punished for our defensive mistakes, and didnt look as if we even cared. No one took the initiative to try and score. It was one of those days when everyone had a bad game. Against Italy, I thought we were playing better, but the ref just ruined the game. And against Ghana, although the winning goal shouldnt have been a penalty, we certianly didnt deserve to win the game. In the second half, it was like no one wanted the ball, no one wanted to score. It was awful. I think the responsibility is mostly Arena's; i disagreed with our formation, it was way too defensive considering we needed to score. However, only Clint Dempsey and Bobby Convey, in my opinion, played well and without fear. So, we played pretty poorly, and were also unlucky. England is a team that can also play much better, but they have had more luck, and also they have more pure skill. Thats my two cents.

I'm not mad, but I do know that their is more desire and technique in order to advance further. It was all demonstrated through the group the U.S. played in. This just gave the U.S. a lesson to practice more hard and get prepared for world cups to come. we had the 2 best team in the world according to statistics but who neither made it to the next round Czech Rep. and the mighty forza Italiana. Not to mention up to now we've seen the great performance of a nation which is not well known but has made it far in their first performance in the cup, and that is Ghana who was just beat by Brazil yesterday. Just need to work hard. The key is there.

Not really i dont think we had the best team this year....2010 will bea better year now that the guys will be coming back and Ronaldo i believe is retireing from the World Cup this year so i think the US may have a bettter chance.....The First Game was Embarassing......The Italy game could hajve gone better and the Ghanna game was played well too.....Overall The games were decided on poor jobs by the officials which kinda sucks.

I agree the first game was embarassing but the when they played Italy and Ghana they played good. It was a very poorly reffered game. The ref had something against the U.S. and did not let the U.S. covert to goals. In the Italy game Demarcus Beasly scored and a offside was called on a player who was not even invloved in the play that was B.S. on the ref. U.S. should have been in the round of 16 but the refs are on **** this world cup.

I'm furious. I really thought this was the year the USA could proove they weren't behind the rest of the world. SO what do they do on a for the rest of the world to see? Loose two games and Tie another on an own goal. A BIG dissapointment. They need to be completely reworked next year. Dempsey and Reyna were the only good players.

quite disappointing. I thought Landon left a lot to be desired. McBride looked good as well as Dempsey. Renya's most remembered play was quite sad...just clear the ball! Lots of mistakes and they played timid against the Czechs. A different coach may help them out next time.

I was mad about the ridiculous 5th place ranking FIFA gave to the U.S, putting the U.S above teams like Italy, Germany and Argentina. I do not know what was the basis for that nonsense but reality showed the truth: U.S. sucks at soccer and it always will! And someone please tell that Bruce Arena to shut up when he says that one day U.S will be the BEST in the World.

Mad,yes but surprised,no. This just shows that the 2002 World Cup showing was a fluke.
