Individualism is what makes america, America. We are free to like what we want to like, say what we want, express our opinions, worship the God we want to (or not), speak the language we want to speak, etc. etc. It's when Government steps in and says, "No, you can't do that," or groups of people get together and say, "You're WRONG. We're RIGHT. You now have to think like we do," when everything goes awry. Why don't they just come out and say, "You're all morons and you don't know what's right for you, so we're going to decide."

Individualism is ok for america and should be emphasized. Keep in mind, individualism is not selfish or egotistical, it does not encourage rape or murder. It just means, let me be me without government interference or societal judgment.

America is built on an individualistic society, and there are many repercussion as proof, (i.e. many normally healthy old people living in old folks homes/ retirement homes, the USA using most of the worlds resources and producing so much waste..and etc). The question for it being okay...well I don't think it's okay. So far it has caused nothing but trouble for the US and our people.

Yes. And, stop asking general questions if you're actually looking for details.
