I have had alot of good memories listening to Willie Nelson "Greatest Hits (And Some That Will Be) during the numerous road trips I took.
Others: Lucinda Williams "Car Wheels On A Gravel Road"
Bruce Springsteen anything that he did with The E Street Band
Ramones "Mania"
I also recommend the new Dixie Chicks and Gnarls Barkley. Not just for road trip, because they are just great albums.

A really great 2 disc cd would be the Forrest Gump Soundtrack. Its like your watching the movie adn driving at the same time in addition to the great oldies including "On the road again" lol best wishes

However, my favorite CDs to listen to on the road are "Losing Streak" by Less Than Jake, "Energy" by Operation Ivy. Weezer's Blue Album, "Dirt" by Alice In Chains, and maybe "Nevermind" by NIrvana.

Whenever I go on a road trip or vacation..I like to take along oldies stuff...so I can sing along.It makes the driving less tedious. :)
