Because they are trying to cure cancer for all the people who are smoking the unsafe cigarette.

that's an awesome question. Tobacco is natural but I think it's the inhaling of the smoke and then the additives that cause the problems. They could take the additives out BUT, it's the smoke that goes into the lungs that are also the culprit so if they made it smokeless, it really couldn't be called a cigarette.
It's so hard because the addiction is physical, emotional AND mental. That is a serious issue and it's what makes it SO difficult for people to quit. Those are three of the 4 CORE human aspects-physical, mental, emotional and the only one it doesn't affect (unless you look at the guilt factor) is spiritual!!!

Because there isn't such a thing as a safe cigarette, and down deep inside you, you already know this. Pray about quitting and God will give you the power to stop, if your sincere that is. Have others pray for you, that will help. It's poison, your killing yourself.

because, technically there is no way to make a safe cigarette, without taking the whole thing away. People are addicted to the bad stuff, so there would be no point.

good question, but the tobacco companies have too much power for someone to step in on them and say "hey i am taking over cause I found a cigarette that smokes the same but is absolutely safe for you"

Cause burning of any item and having it sucked into the lung cannot be safe.
To remove any burning, smoke, or inhaling it would not be a cigarette any more.
They have tried in the past, many versions even a smokeless cigarette but they all failed very badly.

Have you seen the commercials for the cigarette companies? They don't want to spend more time making things better for their buyers their product kills most of the consumers so as long as they're making money they won't make it safer for potential smokers.
