its not usb so i'm not sure where to plug it, it is an internal card reader that goes in the floppy disk space

If this card reader is internal it might have a small 3 or 4 pin connection that goes on the motherboard check the motherboard manual or look for a similar connection on the motherboard that matches that of the card reader

Sounds like a PCMCIA card reader. It would go in a special slot (not the floppy drive) commonly found on laptops. Most desktops do not have these slots, however you can add one in.

What kind of card reader is it? If it is not usb, it can be IDE, although very rare, or firewire. You have to read the box that comes with your card reader or no one can help you.

When all else fails, read the instructions....if you dont have them they can be found on the manufacturers website.

You need to have it installed into your computer.
