I have been procrastinating on two reports for weeks. People are starting to get a bit angry with me. Today I really need to finish. Do you think I will? If so, when?
I am a fast writer and all the materials are here in my office. The reports are about 4 pages each. Closest wins best answer. Be warned: last time I did this, I did not finish the task :( but I did choose the best answer of the person who said I would not finish!
I'll let you know the outcome when I post the best answer.

News! I finished the second one -- at 7:40 p.m. Therefore it took me just over two hours to complete something I've been dreading for weeks on end. I feel really stupid now because I risked so much goodwill with the recipients of the reports just becuase I couldn't kick myself in the rear to get started. Still, I'm relieved they are off my mind -- until there is a question about the content (groan.....).
Thanks to those of you who for some reason believed I could do it. It really did help!

I say you finish before you leave for work. I'm thinking positive. You could be someone like myself that works best under pressure. Even if you have to stay a little bit after work you will do it. You want that feeling of accomplishment.

1:00 AM your time.
Words for the Procrastinator to live by: (I know!)
Never do today what can be put off until tomorrow.
I work better under pressure.
I know it's going to be pain so I always put it off as long as I can.
It's amazing how fast I am when I want to be.
When I get started, words just fly onto the paper. (Thank god for spell checker.)
If I think of this as a contest instead of an assignment, I bet I can do it in half the time.
If it gets done on time, people will expect me to do it that way all the time. I hate being stereotyped as an organized person. First the reports, then my work area, then my house, then my garage, pretty soon I'd become a stressed out neat freak. I just couldn't do that to myself.

I think you will finish one by the time you leave work, assuming you leave at 6 pm.
If you keep coming here, you won't finish at all!
