He is an excellent referee.
He has been in lots of very important matches and always played very good.
No, I don't think he will go against England.

They have every chance still, I can not imagine an Argentinian ref going on Portugal's side all the time, otherwise what is the point of having ref's if they only give decisions towards one team, the whole point is to have a fair game.
Although I have seen some very unfair decisions in the past, so lets hope this ref is a bit more fair then some of them out there.

The Argentinian Ref. Horacio Elizondo is rated by FIFA as the highest performance is this cup and in addition he was the one chosen to refereeing Germany vs Costa Rica, the opening match. And in the opening match they always select the best ref. to give good starting image. So there are no doubts of his profesionalism.

The referring in this tournament has been a shocker.. for an example watch the Australian matchs. Though i dont feel the ref in this game will effect the outcome, we have 2 strong teams goin at it... the ref will just be trying to catch up. Though something serious has to be done about the referring in soccer matchs.. it continues the ruin the game of Football. Oh and FORCA PORTUGAL!!

i understand! Its only about as undesirable as putting a Portuguese ref on, or like signing the win over to Portugal. He become obviously biased as that purple card become completely uncalled for and in reality probably does no longer were given if it wasn't for that smarmy Ronaldo :@ pestering the ref. He deserved a card for that and maximum of their gamers necessary playing cards for his or her tremendous little dives, yet like hell become he going to furnish them any. This desires sorting, its irrelevant and prices communities wins as we now understand. Oh whats up there 'flor' the england hater. So we invade 0.5 the international do ? nicely if thats real then its probably using britain hating foreigners which have invaded our u . s .(no longer something againt overseas ppl only those who favor each little thing and grants no longer something in go back ohh and the unlawful type!). probably you too.. ask anybody the position they favor to be ... OOOO England they offer money and residences and vehicles. Ask them people to help England and what can we get? No i hate England ---> nicely then mate bugger off and stay in you own counrty if ours aint gd sufficient for you! And in any case England performed brillaintly. were we observing an same tournament because all i said were dives and inexpensive pictures from Portugal and thats no longer only me being biased. England obviously wouldnt were overwhelmed 10:0 as regardless of 10 men our defence become waiting to maintain any attack that become delivered our way--> which for this reason resulted in the consequences. ignore about The Haters We nevertheless Love You England!

So what? Despite Maradona's despicable cheating 20 years ago, Argentinians aren't genetically pre-disposed to cheat against England.

But in answer to your question, we have the same chance as we had before the ref was announced, i.e. not very much, as we're not very good.

England have every chance. England have one of the best fair play records, they aren't going to spoil it now. Remember, the Portuguese hate Argentina too, there was many a war down there.

Well one thing CAN be said about the English team, they play FAIR! So it should not matter what ref they have. They don't take dives,or pretend to be hurt,or headbutt other players!! I'm sure you all know to which team I'm referring to! Good luck England!
