is there a way to know who tried to remote to your computer?

I use VNC and if someone asks to remote to my machine they need to know the password and also have me accept their attempt
If I did not accept, is there a way to track who tried to remote?

On the same note:
Is there a way to do that in Microsoft Remote Desktop application?

probably not.. but you can download some software (firewall) that will track down users with the ip address..
