Of course, I'll gladly add you and your family to my prayers.

I do think there are some things that you can do to help him. First, contact the better business bureau and the insurance commissioner in your area. A company just cannot abandon an employee that was injured at work.

In my state, all companies with more than 3 employees must pay into the workman's compensation fund. You should also contact them. They will advise you about the process to get payment during this interim.

If you really do have a lawyer, I think he would have advised you to not worry about the bills until the lawsuit is settled.

A hospital or health care giver cannot deny you treatment solely on the basis of your ability to pay. They may hound you for payment, so you need to keep responding to them with a letter stating your intention on paying but your inability to clear the balance. You can send them $5, 10, 50 dollars each time, just to keep them from taking you to a collection agency.

Be sure to let his doctors know the situation. Many times they will have sample medications that they can give. That saves lots of money.

Check with the hospital or clinic to speak with their social worker. Many times, they know of agencies that assist people in this very situation.

It is very important that you help your son but do not assume any of his debts. Keep your finances separate.

This will seem like a dark time in your life...remember to focus on the fact that your son is alive and will recover from this set back. Peace.

There are groups that handle these kinds of disputes. Even here in Hawaii the TV station has "Action Line" where they expose on TV what the employer is doing & they use their legal muscle to right these wrongs. Just write one leter & mail or emailit to as many people as you can in power. Maybe 100+ people, Mayor, Governor, Councilman, every TV & radio station within 100 miles, someone will take up your cause. Network, try to hit his employer where it counts, in the wallet& the reputation. Meanwhile, take a deep breath, clear your mind of all your thoughts & try to tap into the Universe, or Higher power.Be humble & count your blessings, then ask for the power, & wisdom for you & the doctors, & your son, & the people of the world to feel the best that can be foe your son. Everytime you are down count your blessings, gratitudes. He is still alive & this may cause a lot of love between a lot of people.(I' already one of those people) Imagine multiplying that by 1000's just because of your son's situation. Your son's co-workers & families, your community, everyone. Love is all around us. Abundance is all over in the Universe. Please accept my empathy, & love, & I strongly visualize the best for not only your son, but your family, & friends. Aloha From Hawaii,Paul.....Remember, always have hope,& Calm Down & clear your mind. Being stressed doesn't do any one any good. Ask God for strength for you, because that's where it will start, with you. You can't be there for your son if you aren't strong first. Let him see your confidence, & Hopefullness, & Love & compassion.

What you need is not prayer from people around the world - it is all a myth. What you need is action. It was totally illegal for the company to have sacked your son after he got hurt while working for that company. You should take up the matter with the concerned authority in the area - labour and others - and take the company to task. They ought to compensate your son for what happened to him! The worst comes, you go to the State Governor and even the President of America. God is in You! God is with you! God is the power and the rights you have. Be focused and you will succeed. Good luck.

Dear Sharon,
I will certianly pray for your son Matthew. The Lord knows all about this, and offers healing, complete healing. HIS healing is free, no co-pay, no office visit, no lawyer, no perscriptions. You must only believe. Sounds too good to be true doesn't it? It's not, just ask HIM, and believe, and it shall be.
"ye have not because Ye ask not", not my words but God's.
So just pray and ask, what do you have to lose?
My thoughts and prayers are with you, and yours.
Amen.

First, the Bible says that when you go to man's court both parties lose; so pray about that. But I will not only pray for you to get some help, whether through social workers or you finding another job, but also for the healing of your son. God bless.

Sweetheart, prayer is not going to do you any good. What you need is a good attorney, period. If the situation really played out that way, just have him call the right office, and I guarantee they'll take his case.

So sad for your tragic accident. My suggestion is to contact your closest friends, relatives and co workers and ask them to help you with some fundraisers to help pay the bills, establish a bank account and ask your community for support by donating to his bills. My family has you in our prayers
