Hi there! I was in colorguard for 3 years in high school and loved it. If I could direct it, that would be awesome. I don't think they really look for anything. I just filled out an application with a school district by me, and they wanted to know if i'd be willing to help out in other activities, and colorguard was one of them. Good luck, I sure miss my years in HS colorguard! :)

Music and dance.

Obviously join the School marching band and see if there is a local Drum and Bugle Corps in the area where you can learn firsthand.

Dance, for sure. But if you can't keep a beat, you'd better double major in music. Minor in it at the very least.

doesn't matter. just make sure you are in the band in college. Major in math or english. something you can get a job teaching in.

I don't think that you have to go to college for that. Our Color Guard Director didnt.
