From previous experience I find it helpful to get involved in different things find new experiences that I haven't explored before.

Moving on from someone that you loved is very hard but at the same time thats something that you have to get over . That means go out and explore your options cause the more you sit in the house and think about the Love that no longer exist you will remain depressed.

Live Excellently.
Get an even Better relationship.
Fulfill your dreams.
Get your name in the paper.
This will tide you over.
Then, when you run into this person years and years from now, you will find that he became bald like the Lucky Charms Man only less attractive. Or became a hippie with bad teeth.
And you'll be all wtf?
Meanwhile, you will look great with a George Clooney lookalike who will look with pity onto your last love, and Last Love will kick himself all the way home.

It's different depending on how the relationship ended. Because you said "last love" I assume it ended in tears and not hatred. The best way to get over love like this, is simply remind yourself everyday that it didn't work. Realize why and why it won't. Eventually the memories of the relationship tune out of your mind as new things tune in.
A good way to let go is by going to a concert. Concerts are great for selfesteem issues and crushing on people :)

It's tough, but continue doing what you do in your daily life. I heard that it takes 1/2 the time than the time you were together, to get over someone. So for example, if you were with someone for 1 year, it may take 6 months to get over it. Hang in there! If you try to force yourself to move on faster than you're ready to, the feelings may come back a few months later.

You continue living life...you go to work, you take care of your personal business, you spend time with friends, you have hobbies, etc. Your last love (most recent) will likely not be the last (final) one of your life. Grieve, learn the lessons, keep the memories, and move on...it takes Time, but it will happen.
There is much of life ahead...don't waste too much of it pining over someone who is probably not pining over you. Don't let your ex rent space in your head or your heart for free. Close that chapter of your life, and get ready for the ones ahead!

The last thing you should do is jump into another relationship. Just date. Until you truly get over that person and you meet someone new, bringing in someone new may be a mistake.

first of all don't believe the" give yourself time to heal junk", take it from someone who knows, I don't know your situation but get out, don't listen to love songs on the radio, find something fun to do, find someone else if you think its possible right now, the best feeling is knowing that your ex, thinks you are ok without them.

Find a new one. Nothing better then finding someone else that you can fall madly in love with after someone breaks your heart :)
