Having attended a college made up exclusivly of women I've had an up close look at issues I really never thought to be issues. This is almost one. Yes, there will people who will vote for Hillary just becasue she is a woman. Yes, there will be people who vote against her becasue she's a woman. Other then that, I don't really think it matters what hangs between the legs of our president, if anything. It just matters if they are the best person for the job. But to answer the question. I feel it might happen and soon, just not yet. This country needs to drag itself out of the 1940's and realize that anyone can do any job as long as they are qualified.

As a woman who wants to go into politics and eventually be president, no. There are too many biggots out there controlling red state votes that listen to anyone who tells them that a woman will launch a nuclear attack whilst she's PMSing or that minorities are fundamentally inferior to ever elect either. It's sad, but not going to change anytime soon. The best we could hope for would be a "Commander-in-Cheif"-type situation wherein a woman or ethnic minority would be elected VP and then replace the president.
Have a pleasant day.

Not yet. People preach equal rights but most do not believe in that; most who could run have no military experience or experience working with teams which helps build an ability to lose well and win well. Women take things too personally, act more on emotions. Most women hold grudges, do not get along really well with other women - no "team" experience. There is jealousy more among women than men. Women are not confident in themselves enough yet. Non-Caucasians will have to be more confident in their abilities and education.

If the right one where to run yes, but it's not Hillary Clinton, or Jesse Jackson. Barak Obama may have a shot. I would personally just like to be able to vote for a candidate that I think will do the most good, not they person I think will do the least amount of damage.

Yes, I have always been ready for a women President... but it needs to be the right woman. Or any truely good President, man or woman... or a really smart cat, lol.

We (US) are ready, but we just don't have a good candidate yet. Of course, there aren't any good MALE candidates out there right now. Maybe Mark Warner, former Governor of Virginia.

I think so. Take this from girl. We aren't just silly, giggling people. We can be as good leaders as boys. And non-caucasion presidents are fine with me! (Besides i don't think anyone can do worse than Bush. But, that's just me)

Personally, I think that Condalisa Rice would make an excellent president.
She is a stong woman and maybe that's what we need to lead our country!!!

I really think it depends on the person. I would really like to see Colin Powel run, I think he would do a great job. I was sorry to see Bush lose him in his cabinet.

Depends on the person that's up (and it's chauvinistic)

Are we ready for the Carpetbagger Hillary? No.
